“Strong winds will develop today, with westerly winds gusts developing near noon in Slave Lake and Swan Hills areas. These winds will progress to the southeast and reach the Lloyminster area by early evening,” said Environment Canada in a statement.
High-sided vehicles could be at risk of being pushed around by the wind. Environment Canada suggests adapting your driving to changing conditions, and being prepared for possible disruptions to transportation, services and utilities.
