A total of 316 students of Rajarata University are scheduled to receive free spectacles tomorrow (17) under a programme implemented by the President’s Fund.
According to the President’s Media Division, the spectacles will be distributed at Rajarata University to students who underwent eye examinations on September 19.
The initiative is being implemented with the support of the Stroud Rotary Club in the United Kingdom and the Wish Foundation, with the aim of providing free spectacles to all university students who require them.
Rajarata University was selected for the first phase of the programme, while the second phase was held at the University of Ruhuna on October 10.
The programme forms part of ongoing efforts by the President’s Fund to improve access to vision care among university students across Sri Lanka. (Newswire)
