Severe lightning warning issued for all Provinces in Sri Lanka

The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for severe lightning in all the provinces of Sri Lanka today, effective until 01.00 a.m. tomorrow (15). 

According to the advisory, thundershowers accompanied with severe lightning are likely to occur at most places over the island, while there may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. 

The public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity. (Newswire)
