Trades starting in Uniswap v4 can now reach liquidity beyond its own pools. Uniswap’s aggregator hooks are live on Ethereum, Base and Robinhood Chain, letting the protocol compare trading routes across external platforms without requiring users to search those venues themselves.
Key takeaways
- External liquidity is now accessible through Uniswap’s web app and API on three networks.
- Supported venues include Curve, Fluid, PancakeSwap V3 and Slipstream.
- Externally routed trades carry protocol fees that contribute to UNI burns.
Uniswap’s aggregator hooks connect pools to external venues
Uniswap Labs’ developer documentation lists Curve, Fluid, PancakeSwap V3 and Slipstream as supported liquidity sources, alongside forks of Uniswap V2 and Uniswap V3. A swap originating in a v4 pool can draw on those venues rather than relying only on liquidity held within Uniswap.
On Ethereum, Base and Robinhood Chain, the feature works through both the Uniswap web app and API, Uniswap Labs said. The web app automatically includes external sources when finding a route; developers can access the same routing capability through the API.
How the hooks fit into Uniswap v4
Hooks are smart contracts connected to liquidity pools that customize how those pools operate. Aggregator hooks represent external liquidity as a v4 pool, allowing Uniswap to compare prices across its own pools and outside venues before executing a trade in one transaction.
“Each Aggregator Hook wraps an external source in a Uniswap v4 hook, so that any router sees it as a Uniswap pool,” Uniswap Labs said.
The feature expands v4’s modular toolkit, which already includes Permissioned Pools and Dynamic Fee Hooks. Permissioned Pools restrict access to approved participants, while Dynamic Fee Hooks allow fees to vary rather than remain fixed.
The aggregation layer appears to be developed in-house by Uniswap Labs. Its official documentation does not reference independent third-party aggregator hooks.
Robinhood Chain brings an established hook user base
Robinhood Chain has become a prominent venue for Uniswap activity since launching in July 2026. It has also recorded substantial adoption of hooks.
At times, the network has represented more than 50% of certain Uniswap trading-volume metrics.
Deeper routing and protocol fees for external trades
Uniswap’s aggregator hooks can give large orders access to deeper liquidity across multiple venues, potentially reducing slippage in thin markets. Users do not need to locate and visit each external platform themselves.
The feature also brings routing work into the protocol layer—a function standalone aggregators perform by comparing venues and choosing where to send orders.
According to Uniswap Labs, any trade executed through external liquidity sources will be subject to Uniswap protocol fees, with the proceeds going toward burning UNI tokens. The firm estimates that the protocol has facilitated over $4.5 trillion in trading volume to date.
Production readiness and rollout
Uniswap’s developer documentation describes the aggregator hooks as production-ready as of late October 2026. The documentation, rather than a formal launch press release, provides that readiness confirmation.
The rollout follows plans introduced in the UNIfication proposal in November 2025, when Uniswap Labs described the update as turning v4 into an aggregator.
The first aggregator hook became available in March 2026 on Tempo, the payments-focused blockchain developed by Stripe and Paradigm. Tempo access is limited to the web app, while Ethereum, Base and Robinhood Chain support both the web app and API. Uniswap Labs plans to add support for more blockchains.
