Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has pledged to mobilise massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, declaring that Kano will lead other states in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Yusuf gave the assurance on Saturday in Abuja at the inauguration of the Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) campaign office, where he said Kano, which he described as the leading state in the North in terms of voting strength, would mobilise support for the president.
“Kano, as the leading state with the highest number of votes in Northern Nigeria, will, in sha Allah, lead all Nigerian states to victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with massive turnout in favour of the APC,” the governor said.
He expressed confidence that Northern Nigeria would support Tinubu’s second-term ambition, adding that the A4A movement would provide a platform for mobilising supporters across the region ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The governor also reaffirmed his commitment to the president’s re-election bid, saying the movement would strengthen political engagement and coordinate support across Northern states.
Speaking at the event, Vice President Kashim Shettima said political support for the administration must go hand in hand with accountability, good governance and tangible results that improve the lives of Nigerians.
Shettima acknowledged the economic difficulties facing citizens and stressed the need for the government to remain responsive to their concerns.
He identified security, education, poverty reduction and the creation of economic opportunities as areas requiring sustained attention.
The A4A movement is designed to coordinate support for Tinubu and Shettima across the 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory ahead of the 2027 elections.
Former Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar, is the national coordinator of the movement.
The event comes as political activities and consultations gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
