The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three men in Saki over alleged homosexual acts, following intelligence received on September 29, 2026.
The suspects are Ayomide Lukeman, 22; Shuaib Aremu, 22; and Abdul-Rasheed Mufeed, 23. Operatives of the Command Monitoring Unit, Saki Operational Base, picked them up.
The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
Olayinka said preliminary investigation showed that the suspects allegedly admitted to the acts. Two of them were said to have confessed to having sexual relations with the third on several occasions, with the third allegedly regarded by them as their “wife.”
He said the Commissioner of Police had directed the Monitoring Unit to verify the intelligence and take appropriate action, which led to the arrests.
Investigations are continuing, the PPRO said, to establish the circumstances surrounding the allegations and determine whether other persons are connected to the case.
“The Oyo State Police Command reiterates its commitment to conducting investigations professionally, impartially, and in accordance with the law,” the statement said.
