One person has died following a fire in a house in Ettelbrück in the north of Luxembourg, the emergency services said on Wednesday morning.
Some 50 firefighters were deployed to Ettelbrück town centre shortly before 02:20 on Wednesday to tackle a fire in a row of houses.
“A bedridden person trapped inside the building was evacuated by firefighters wearing self-contained breathing apparatus and was quickly attended to by Samu medical teams,” the statement from the emergency services said.
“Despite all efforts, the individual died from their injuries,” the statement continued, without identifying the individual.
