Kearsney College, a KwaZulu-Natal school, paid tribute to a beloved former student known as Shazi. News of his tragic passing moved the school community to share memories of his remarkable journey.

The video, posted on 20 October, brought together archival footage tracing Shazi's years with the school's choir and performance group. It covered a period stretching from 2009 through to 2012, documenting on-stage performances in theatres and auditoriums, a team photograph, and what appeared to be an appearance at the United Nations. On-screen captions marked the milestones along the way, including a 2010 tour, a USA Tour in 2012, and a Freedom of the City concert in Durban that same year.
