Beau Lamarre-Condon quoted Taylor Swift while allegedly trying to pin the decision to hide the bodies of a Sydney couple he is accused of murdering on a friend, a jury has been told.
The former police officer allegedly killed Jesse Baird and his new boyfriend, Luke Davies, on February 19, 2024.
Mr Lamarre-Condon, 31, has pleaded not guilty and is arguing self-defence before a jury trial in the NSW Supreme Court.
The jury is expected to hear from one of his former friends, known for legal reasons by the pseudonym Elizabeth Kennedy, on Tuesday afternoon.
Mr Lamarre-Condon claims he showed Ms Kennedy the couple’s bodies and she urged him not to go to the police as “they won’t believe you”, according to a statement he wrote in June 2025.

“This is like Taylor Swift’s song No Body, No Crime – we have to get rid of (the bodies) straight away,” Mr Lamarre-Condon claims the woman told her.
Prosecutors allege Mr Lamarre-Condon’s statement is a “lie”.
“The Crown submits that that’s a lie, that he had already decided to conceal the deaths of the two men by disposing of them,” Crown prosecutor Brett Hatfield SC told the jury.

Ms Kennedy ultimately sparked a days-long search for the couple’s bodies when she approached police on February 23 and told them she had gone on a drive to a farm with Mr Lamarre-Condon days earlier on February 21, the jury was told.
The former officer allegedly left her at the gate to Cella Farm in Bungonia in the NSW Southern Tablelands and cut the padlock.

Mr Lamarre-Condon was talkative on the drive to the farm, but his “mood was different” on the way back, Mr Hatfield previously told the jury.
He refused to use toll roads, told Ms Kennedy not to use her phone, and kept repeating “F**k, now I have to come back”, the jury was told.

It’s alleged he tried to sink the couple’s bodies in a dam at the farm, but when this failed, he later dumped them outside a Greek monastery 20km away.
Mr Lamarre-Condon handed himself in on the same day Ms Kennedy spoke with police, the jury was told, with prosecutors alleging he knew he was a suspect in the couple’s disappearance by this stage.

The couple’s bodies were not found until four days later, more than a week after their deaths.
Ms Kennedy made a statement to police under the promise that what she disclosed would not be used against her in any criminal proceedings, the jury was told.
She is due to give evidence on Tuesday afternoon.
