NBC analyst Kevin Kisner believes Tiger Woods may return to competitive golf soon, and he knows it because the return will come at his expense.
During an episode of Barstool Sports’ Fore Play podcast this week, Kisner revealed that Woods plans to play a full schedule in the golf simulator league he co-founded, TGL. Kisner played on the Jupiter Links TGL team the last two seasons, but his contract wasn’t renewed, in part because Woods planned to return.
Folks, we might be seeing Tiger back out there playing sooner than we thought

“Well, obviously, I’m not on the team anymore,” Kisner said on the Fore Play podcast. “I had a two-year contract with Jupiter Links and then they, Tiger wants to play. And then they wanted to sign Keith Mitchell, which is totally fine with me.”
TGL recently announced a new multiyear TV rights deal with ESPN as the league continues to defy skeptics who questioned whether people would tune in to watch sim golf. But having golf superstars like Woods and Rory McIlroy playing has undoubtedly helped.
Last season, Woods returned to competitive golf from major back surgery to play in the TGL championship match. Days later, Woods was arrested for driving under the influence and has not played competitive golf since. Woods has since completed a rehabilitation program in Switzerland and later agreed to a plea deal reducing his charge to reckless driving. Now he appears to be gearing up to return to playing competitive golf.
With a TGL comeback seeming imminent, Kisner was then asked whether the news means Woods could return for the Hero World Challenge, which the 15-time major champion hosts in early December. Kisner believes Woods will return for the Hero World Challenge. He also believes Woods will play in the Father/Son Challenge at the PNC Championship, and if all goes well, the Masters could be added to his schedule.
“He’s going to play both,” Kisner continued on Fore Play. “He can’t have any more setbacks injury-wise. The way he was swinging and moving on the range, I mean, the guy loves to compete. Come back, get your feet wet at the Hero, play with Charlie in the Father/Son, play some TGL, get ready for Augusta.”
