Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is expected to receive the convener of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, as the movement inaugurates its state structure ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
The Southwest Coordinator of the movement, Orisamoluwa Adekunle, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, inviting party members, stakeholders and supporters of the President to the inauguration.
The statement said the event is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Democracy Park, Akure, by 12 noon, with the distribution of campaign vehicles and materials to support the movement’s grassroots mobilisation.
According to Adekunle, Tompolo’s reception by Aiyedatiwa will underscore collaboration among political stakeholders supporting the movement and Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
He said the inauguration was part of efforts to strengthen the movement’s grassroots presence and expand its mobilisation activities across Ondo State ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
“The inauguration symbolises our collective commitment to the vision of a prosperous and united Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Adekunle said.
He added that the distribution of campaign vehicles and materials would enhance the movement’s capacity to engage voters and communicate the administration’s achievements and future plans.
“The distribution of campaign vehicles and materials is a crucial step in mobilising grassroots support and ensuring that our message reaches every corner of Ondo State,” he stated.
Adekunle said direct engagement with residents would remain central to the movement’s strategy, noting that its activities would focus on reaching eligible voters and encouraging participation in the electoral process.
He added that prominent party leaders and grassroots mobilisers would attend the event to discuss strategies for expanding the movement’s presence and coordinating its activities ahead of the election.
The coordinator urged supporters of Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress to attend the inauguration, describing it as an opportunity to demonstrate support for the President’s re-election bid.
“Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria,” Adekunle said.
