NICHOLASVILLE - For the Pulaski County Maroons, this has been a dream season. Well, that dream continues for at least one more game.
Pulaski took down Danville 4-0 in the 12th Region Semifinals on Wednesday evening to advance to Thursday night's regional championship game, their first regional title game appearance since 2002.
It took 15 minutes before a team would score in the contest, when Ethan DaSilva took a shot from near the top of the box that connected after curving into the back of the net, giving Pulaski a lead that they wouldn't relinquish for the rest of the ball game.
Another 15 minutes passed before the Maroons scored another goal, this one on a corner kick by Landon Hamilton that went just above a jumping Danville goalkeeper for a 2-0 Pulaski lead.
It looked like the Maroons had scored their third goal of the night in the 35th minute, as Kaden Anderson got past the goalkeeper for a score that was called back due to offsides being called. The ball did not lie however, as a few moments later Milder Perez got a rebound from a deflection and scored the Maroons' third goal of the contest.
Holding the 3-0 lead out of halftime, Pulaski played quality defense to prevent a score from the Admirals. Goalkeepers Mario Garcia and Tucker Langford recorded multiple saves to aid their team in their shutout effort. DaSilva ending up striking one more time right before the buzzer to give the Maroons a 4-0 victory over Danville.
Pulaski improves to 20-1-2 and will advance to Thursday's regional championship game at West Jessamine, where the Maroons will take on the hosting Colts. First kick is slated for 7 p.m.
