The deceased has been identified as Raphael Gitonga. His body was found on the ground at Kaptai Court during the night of October 18 to 19, after managers at a neighbouring building reported the incident to police.
Preliminary findings suggest Gitonga fell from an eighth-floor window, landing on a hard surface and sustaining multiple injuries. Bloodstains were observed at the scene.

Persons of interest held for questioning
Detectives visited the scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident. In total, nine individuals were taken into custody to assist with inquiries.
Among them are two Dutch nationals, two Congolese citizens, a Ugandan, and an American, alongside three other individuals whose nationalities have not been disclosed. All nine are being treated as persons of interest rather than suspects at this stage.
Officers are pursuing several lines of inquiry. However, the precise chain of events leading up to the fall has not yet been established.
Gitonga's remains were transferred to Chiromo Funeral Parlour, where they are being preserved ahead of a postmortem examination.
The examination is expected to provide clarity on the official cause of death and may inform the direction of the police investigation going forward.
