Motorsport fans heading to this year’s MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix in Portimão are being offered an early shot at tickets for the return of Formula 1 next summer.
The Algarve International Circuit (AIA) has announced that anyone who buys at least two tickets in a single transaction for the MotoGP Repsol Grande Prémio de Portugal 2026 will qualify for a reserved early-sales phase for the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Grande Prémio de Portugal 2027.
The MotoGP takes place at the Portimão circuit from November 20 to 22, while Formula 1 returns to the Algarve from June 18 to 20, 2027.
The promotion applies to eligible MotoGP purchases made through the official event website by 11.59pm on October 31.
Fans who bought tickets before the campaign was launched can also qualify, provided at least two valid tickets were purchased together in a single transaction.
“We want to give motorsport fans the opportunity to experience two of the world’s leading competitions at a circuit which is internationally recognised and is one of the few European tracks where this opportunity will be possible,” said Jaime Costa, CEO of the AIA.
Early access – but no guaranteed ticket
Eligible customers will be able to buy up to two Formula 1 tickets during a dedicated sales window before the next phase opens to the general public.
Dates and access details will be sent by email at a later stage.
Customers will have to use the same email address associated with their MotoGP purchase to confirm eligibility, after which they will receive a personal, non-transferable, one-time code.
The promotion applies to grandstand and general admission tickets, with the exception of the Main Grandstand and hospitality packages.
However, the AIA stresses that this is priority access rather than a discount.
Tickets will be sold at the prevailing public price and remain subject to availability, meaning buying MotoGP tickets does not guarantee that a customer will later secure Formula 1 seats.
The early-access allocation is limited and may sell out before the exclusive window closes, the AIA team adds.
