Isla Fisher parties with pal Alexander Skarsgård at iconic Chateau Marmont one year after Sacha Baron Cohen divorce

Isla Fisher and Alexander Skarsgård were spotted exiting the storied Chateau Marmont on Saturday night after the Academy Museum Gala.

The 50-year-old actress – whose ex-husband Sacha Baron Cohen was also at the affair – and 50-year-old actor were part of a large group who migrated from the iconic Los Angeles hotel to a private party across the street. 

Fisher was spotted donning the busty, beaded black dress she'd worn to the star-studded event.

Meanwhile, the Swedish actor looked dashing in a crisp button-up white shirt with a black brooch.

He added black trousers and dress shoes, and was clean shaven as he arrived at Vas Morgan's after party.

It comes more than one year after Fisher and Cohen finalized their divorce. 

The stars publicly announced their split in April 2024, after they'd quietly filed for divorce in 2023.

Their statement was typed over an old image of them posing together in white tennis outfits.

It read: 'After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down.

'In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy and have been quietly working through this change.

'We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family's wish for privacy.'

The couple met in 2001 and tied the knot in 2010 and are parents to three children.

In summer 2023, their marriage appeared to be intact as Cohen shared an affectionate snapshot with his then-wife online.

And on their 20th anniversary in December 2021, Sacha penned a thoughtful tribute on Instagram, writing 'Happy Anniversary. 20 YEARS.'

Quoting Winnie the Pooh, he added, 'If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever.'

Earlier this year, Skarsgård raised eyebrows when he addressed long-running speculation about his sexuality.

It came as he clarified comments he had previously made, which sparked widespread discussion online last year.

The actor, best known for roles in Big Little Lies, Succession and True Blood, spoke candidly in a Variety cover story, explaining that remarks he made while promoting his film Pillion were never intended as a personal revelation.

In the film, Skarsgård stars as the dominant partner in a gay BDSM relationship.

He discussed the movie at the Zurich Film Festival, and was asked what aspects of his own life he brought to the role.

'I found that in this case, it's not really relevant what my background is. I mean, I do have a kid, but what I've done in the past, who I've been with, men, women…' he said at the time. 'To me, what was important was that this felt like an opportunity to tell a story about a subculture I hadn't seen portrayed this way – with so much authenticity.'

Those comments were widely interpreted on social media as Skarsgård coming out as bisexual.

But he told Variety this year, 'It was definitely not an intended statement. I don't know what I was talking about. Maybe it has to do with – there's a lot of focus sometimes on me as an actor. Maybe it was trying to shift the focus more to the story and these characters. And the importance of telling the story like this.' 

Skarsgård has a son, born in either late 2022 or early 2023, with his girlfriend Tuva Novotny, 46. The couple confirmed they had become parents when Alexander was seen carrying the baby in his arms during an outing in New York.
