Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov discussed prospects for joint investment projects with Saudi industrial group Astra Industries.
The talks with Samer Hendawi, the company’s Vice President for Finance and Investment, took place in Riyadh during a working visit by an Uzbek delegation to Saudi Arabia.
At the meeting, representatives of Ferghana Region presented the region’s industrial and investment potential, infrastructure and conditions established for foreign investors.
Astra Industries is one of Saudi Arabia’s major industrial groups. The company operates in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, polymer products, metal structures and industrial construction. Its portfolio includes enterprises specialising in various manufacturing sectors.
The sides considered opportunities to implement projects in Ferghana Region using Astra Industries’ technological solutions and expertise.
Potential areas of cooperation include pharmaceuticals, chemicals, polymer production and construction materials.
Following the talks, the sides identified further steps to develop cooperation, prepare prospective investment projects and move towards their practical implementation.
