The Buffalo Bills have to feel good about what they've done on both sides of the ball to start this season, though there are still ways for this team to improve. Buffalo, currently in first place in the AFC East with a 5-1 record, is coming off two impressive wins against the Los Angeles Rams and Las Vegas Raiders.
However, over the past three games, the Bills have given up at least 29 points in each. That's not a recipe for success come playoff time, and the front office will have to figure it out.
Among the Bills' needs on both sides of the ball, adding help in the secondary is at the top of the list. According to the latest report, they could link up with the Tennessee Titans in a trade for Alontae Taylor, a guy who has struggled a bit this season in Tennessee and isn't playing as much as some would expect after being a healthy scratch in Week 6.
“Bills – Titans CB Alontae Taylor: The Titans love them some drama and deciding to bench their best corner, who they just signed to a $20M/year deal, six weeks into his tenure there, is right on brand. Buffalo desperately needs to address serious issues on the back end; they don’t have really three NFL quality boundary corners, and Taylor was very good with the Saints. Weird time to rework a brand new free-agent deal for a trade, but Buffalo GM Brandon Beane is quite good, and there are not many corners who could get dealt,” Jason La Canfora wrote.
Taylor certainly isn't a perfect player, and that's been evident throughout some of this season.
However, as Buffalo looks to win a Super Bowl, bringing in a veteran like him who can make a difference would be a wise move.
For now, it's unclear what the Titans would want for the 27-year-old, but after sitting him, it seems safe to say he could be available.
