The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and governors of Anambra and Osun states, Charles Soludo and Ademola Adeleke, are present at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja.
The trio, despite belonging to different political parties, were named coordinators of the APC campaign in Rivers, the FCT, Anambra and Osun states, respectively, in a list released on Tuesday.
Speaking at the event at the State Banquet Hall, Abuja, on Wednesday, APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, praised the party’s structure and political reach.
“No political party in Nigeria has our structure. We have over 261,000 party executives, from the national to the ward levels,” Yilwatda said.
He added that the party had 31 governors, alongside two supporting “wingers” from the Southwest and Southeast from Accord and APGA respectively.
Yilwatda also praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying it had recorded significant progress in its first three years.
“Never before has a president demonstrated achievements in terms of policies and projects that can be visibly touched, felt, seen and heard like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.
Present at the inauguration are President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, lawmakers, state governors and other political figures.
