The Houston Texans are heading to London, England, to face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. But the Texans will have three key players not joining them on their trip as they deal with injuries.
On Thursday, Houston ruled out wide receiver Tank Dell with a knee injury, running back David Montgomery with a groin injury and safety Jalen Pitre with a shoulder injury.
Dell's absence isn't new as he hasn't competed in a game since Dec. 2024 before he suffered a severe knee injury. He missed all of the 2025 season, and hasn't made his 2026 debut.
Dell was a full participant at Wednesday's and Thursday's practices, marking the first time he's done so since 2024, so there was hope he would be nearing a return. Even if that's the case, his official return won't be made in London this weekend. Texans general manager Nick Caserio said on 95.7 The Fan on Wednesday that Dell would return this week or next, so keep an eye out for the receiver to be back come Week 7 against the New York Giants.

...
Montgomery left last weekend's game against the Tennessee Titans early with a groin injury. It's not a complete surprise he was ruled out for Week 6 as Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said the running back's injury was considered "week-to-week." Montgomery didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday so it's unknown when he should be expected back on the field.
Montgomery has struggled on the field through five games, rushing for 138 yards and two touchdowns on 52 carries. He's used a lot offensively, but he isn't racking up the yardage or scoring quite yet. Now he's facing an injury setback.
Pitre also suffered his shoulder injury last weekend against the Titans. He is also considered "week-to-week" at this point.
The Texans will be looking for just their second win over the season when facing the hot Jaguars across the pond.
