Tokenized equity trading volume on BNB Chain surged 11-fold to $25.6 billion during the third quarter.
BNB Chain closed the third quarter as the leading blockchain for tokenized stocks, according to data cited by crypto.news and Bitcoin.com News. The network ranked first across three key metrics: trading volume, total token supply, and the number of unique holders.
Tokenized stocks are digital representations of real-world equities issued on a blockchain. They allow holders to track the price performance of shares in companies without owning the underlying stock directly. The sector has grown as traditional finance and crypto infrastructure increasingly overlap.
According to the reported figures, trading volume for tokenized equities on BNB Chain jumped roughly 11 times during the quarter, reaching $25.6 billion. That growth pushed the network ahead of Solana, a longtime competitor in high-throughput blockchain activity, as well as platforms associated with retail brokerage Robinhood, which has also pushed into tokenized equity products.
The ranking reflects a broader trend of blockchain networks competing to host real-world asset products. Tokenized stocks sit within the larger real-world asset, or RWA, category that also includes tokenized treasuries, commodities, and credit instruments. Industry participants have pointed to this category as one of the faster-growing segments of on-chain finance over the past two years.
BNB Chain, developed in connection with exchange operator Binance, has positioned itself as a low-cost alternative for asset issuance and trading. Its leadership in supply and holder counts suggests that issuers and retail users have gravitated toward the network for listing and holding tokenized equity products, not just trading them.
The data does not specify which individual tokenized stock products or issuers contributed most to BNB Chain's volume. Nor does it detail how many distinct equities are represented among the tokens counted in the quarterly figures. Readers should treat the ranking as a snapshot of aggregate activity across the network rather than a breakdown of specific assets.
The comparison with Solana is notable because that network has also marketed itself heavily toward tokenized real-world assets and institutional-style products. Robinhood's inclusion in the comparison reflects its own expansion into blockchain-based equity trading, a move that has drawn attention from both crypto-native users and traditional retail investors.
Market Impact
A leading position in tokenized stocks could reinforce BNB Chain's broader standing within the real-world asset sector, a category that has attracted interest from both crypto-native investors and traditional finance firms. Higher trading volume and holder counts may also support demand for BNB Chain infrastructure, including transaction fees and decentralized application activity tied to equity products.
For competitors like Solana and Robinhood-linked platforms, the figures highlight ongoing competition for market share in tokenized equities. As more blockchains and brokerages test similar products, volume rankings in any single quarter may shift depending on new listings, promotional incentives, or regulatory developments affecting specific markets.
The third-quarter data positions BNB Chain as a notable player in the expanding tokenized stock market, though rankings in this fast-moving sector could change as competitors adjust their offerings.
