War was waged up at Wishing Well in Emmerdale as the imminent return of Samson (Sam Hall) threatens to tear Dingle clan apart forever.
Battle lines were well and truly drawn after Moira (Natalie J Robb) invited son Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) to live with her and Cain up at the cottage, unaware that Samson was due for release.
Sam (James Hooton) and Lydia (Karen Blick) were left with little choice but to spill the beans to Moira, who was appalled at the prospect of not only having to renege on the offer she made to Matty but also to have to live under the same roof as Samson given what he did.
Samson, as viewers will recall, fell into bad company when he started hanging out with Josh, who proceeded to torment Matty with transphobic abuse.
Josh later pushed Samson into Matty, who was holding a kitchen knife at the time while on duty at The Hide. Samson was accidentally stabbed and, coerced by Josh, he reported Matty and claimed he deliberately attacked him.
Up Next
Samson eventually made things right and ended up going to prison himself as a result but the jail nightmare Matty was subjected to due to Samson’s lies hasn’t been forgotten by Moira, who is refusing to let him stay under her roof.
Elsewhere, Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) upped the ante in her bid to try and destroy Ruby and Caleb Miligan (Beth Cordingly and William Ash) on behalf of Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), revealing her plan to seduce Caleb.
What happens next in Emmerdale? Spoilers for Thursday, October 15 episode
Tensions at Wishing Well remain at an all time high as the room Lydia and Sam had picked out for Samson to move into upon his return has been given to Matty by Moira.
The question is: who will come out victorious? Will Sam and Lydia fight back and win? Or will Moira meddle further in a bid to have her way?
And what’s more, just whose side Will Cain (Jeff Hordley) be on? As the head of the family and a resident of the cottage, all eyes will no doubt be on him?
Speaking of Cain, he’s taken aback to learn that Sadie is staying put in the village and he wastes little time in offering Caleb some words of warning about Emmerdale’s resident schemer.
Caleb reckons he’s cleverer than Sadie and is sure he’s got nothing to worry about. If only he knew what she’s really up to!
Emmerdale airs these scenes Thursday, October 15 at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX or YouTube.
