MORE than 80,000 people attended the evening revival rallies held over three days during the 10th World Assemblies of God Congress in Ghana, in what organisers described as a powerful demonstration of faith and God’s faithfulness.
The morning sessions also attracted more than 10,000 participants daily, highlighting the scale of the gathering, which brought together members of the global Assemblies of God family.
A statement issued to mark one week since the congress said the successful event was the result of years of prayer, sacrifice, planning and preparation.
“By the help of God, we prevailed!” it said, reflecting on the enormous responsibility of hosting the historic gathering.
The statement said the congress had witnessed a remarkable manifestation of God’s faithfulness, adding that the revival sessions were powerful, the impact phenomenal and every speaker a blessing to the global Church.
It expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama, who attended both the opening and closing ceremonies, and former Malawian President Dr Lazarus Chakwera, who stayed throughout the congress and ministered at the Global Thanksgiving Service. Read More.
