Budget mini PC with 12-core CPU and plenty of ports gets $352 discount on Amazon

Thanks to an ongoing Amazon sale, the well-equipped AceMagic K1 mini PC is now available with a sizable $352 discount on the platform, bringing its price down to just around $388.

This specific variant of the mini PC comes equipped with a 12-core Intel Core i5-12600H CPU paired with 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 512 GB SSD. Customers are requested to select the additional 12% discount coupon before adding the item to their carts.

AceMagic K1: Affordable mini PC with decently powerful 12-core Intel CPU now even cheaper

The Core i5 CPU powering the AceMagic K1 mini PC might be around 4 years old at this point, but it still packs quite a punch and can easily keep up with a modern Core Ultra 5 125H CPU in synthetic multi-threaded benchmarks.

Compared to AMD's offerings, the Alder Lake CPU also manages to keep up with a Ryzen AI 5 340 "Krackan Point" APU found in many entry-level laptops and mini PCs. In simpler terms, the vast majority of casual workloads and moderately intensive workloads should be easily doable on the mini PC.

The AceMagic K1 comes equipped with 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM (single-channel), courtesy of dual SODIMM slots, which can accommodate up to a maximum of 64 GB. The storage is also upgradable courtesy of dual M.2 slots operating at PCIe 3.0 x4 speeds and officially rated for up to 4 TB. The I/O offer has been detailed below:

• Dual USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
• USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
• 4 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
• HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4b
• Gigabit Ethernet
• Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2

TechRadar did review the AceMagic K1 mini PC and had no complaints regarding performance. Lacking any support for discrete GPUs, the mini PC's Iris Xe G7 iGPU definitely struggles and is only good enough for non-intensive, non-demanding GPU-based tasks such as video acceleration and lightweight gaming.

All told, the AceMagic K1 mini PC brings a lot of value to the table for folks with moderate workloads who do not have massive performance expectations from their system. At just 128 x 128 x 41.3 mm, the K1 mini PC is quite compact as well.
