The AAP reckons the Digital Duty of Care bill could be set to pass parliament after the Albanese government backed down on plans to grant ministerial power to ban certain online content.
The proposed legislation will allow Australians to opt out of social media algorithms as well as putting the onus on the platforms to make sure children aren’t exposed to harmful content.
