Utah put away stubborn Kansas with two fourth-quarter touchdowns last week for a 41-24 win at home to get to 2-0 in Big 12 Conference play. The Utes never trailed and took a 10-point lead on Devon Dampier’s short touchdown pass to Semi Taulanga early in the fourth quarter before Wayshawn Parker iced it with a 90-yard scoring burst with 7:13 left. Parker finished with 171 yards and two TDs on 16 carries while Dampier went 23-of-30 for 238 yards and three touchdowns with an interception while also running for 71 yards and a score on 17 attempts. Ricky Johnson snared five catches for 104 yards and a TD as well.
Colorado led 7-3 at the half against then-No. 12 Texas Tech on Oct. 3 before the visitors took over the game after the break on the way to a 29-7 win that left the Buffaloes 0-2 in Big 12 action. Isaac Wilson capped a 75-yard drive on the first possession of the game with an eight-yard touchdown toss to Joseph Williams. Wilson finished 26-of-44 for 290 yards and three interceptions, while Williams caught 10 passes for 93 yards but also threw a pick on a trick play.
The Utes routed the Buffaloes at home 53-7 last season, their eighth win in the last nine meetings between the teams, and lead the all-time series 36-33-3. A longtime rivalry that went dormant after the 1962 season returned when the teams joined the Pac-12 Conference in 2011.
Dampier comes in with 1,134 yards and 12 touchdowns with two interceptions while Parker leads Utah with 499 rushing yards and seven scores. Braden Pegan checks in with 24 catches, 336 yards and four TDs. Wilson makes his second straight start for Colorado since replacing Julian Lewis and has 443 yards and two touchdowns with three picks. Williams enters play with 32 receptions for 454 yards and five scores and Micah Welch leads the running attack with 218 yards and two TDs.
This is a great college football matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
