The Houston Texans secured their second straight victory this past weekend, notching a 34-31 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
After beginning the season with an 0-4 start, the Texans are now trending in the right direction heading into Week 7.
The Texans were led to victory by quarterback CJ Stroud, who completed 24 of his 34 pass attempts for 312 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the international matchup.
This performance resulted in an NFL announcement for Stroud, who was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday.
The Texans reacted to this announcement with a post on social media.
Stroud led the Texans offense on a critical fourth-quarter drive after the Jaguars tied the game at 31-31, setting up kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn for his game-winning field goal.
“His mindset was 'Hey, I got you Coach, don’t worry about it,'” Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said.
“When a player tells me that, that just gives me the confidence that I need,” Ryans added. “He responded in an outstanding way.”
