Hana Bank Wins Global Finance Custody Award

Attending the '2026 Global Finance Transaction Banking Awards' held in Miami, the United States, on Sep. 29 local time, Hana Bank directly received the award for the best sub-custodian bank in Korea. Sub-custody is a service that acts on behalf of foreign investors or global custodian banks to handle the settlement, safekeeping, and exercise of rights for local assets. Global Finance cited Hana Bank's stable settlement and safekeeping infrastructure and outstanding risk management capabilities as the core reasons for the selection. The analysis indicates that providing optimized services to various stakeholders, including foreign investors, broker-dealers, and asset management companies, based on differentiated customer responsiveness played a key role. An official from Hana Bank stated that this award is the result of the bank's accumulated know-how and customer-centric operational system being officially recognized in the global market, adding that the bank will continue to take the lead in advancing custody services to create an environment that foreign investors can trust.
