The Ministry of Health has unveiled new home and away jerseys for its male football team ahead of its participation in the inaugural Inter-Ministerial Football Tournament, scheduled to begin on Saturday, 17 October 2026, at the National Stadium Practice Field in Freetown.
The presentation, held on Friday, 16 October, was organised by the Ministry’s leadership through its Sports Committee, marking the team’s first official participation in the competition.
The Ministry’s campaign begins on Sunday, 18 October, when the team faces the Sierra Leone Ports Authority at 4:00 p.m.
The Ministry’s participation highlights the role of sports in promoting physical activity, healthy living and staff well-being. It also provides an opportunity for employees to build teamwork, strengthen professional relationships and represent their institution beyond their daily responsibilities.
The tournament is expected to bring together teams from various government ministries and public institutions, providing a platform for competition, cooperation and institutional engagement through sports.
The Ministry has called on its staff, partners and well-wishers to support the team during its opening match as it begins its campaign in the competition.
Through its participation, the Ministry of Health aims to demonstrate its commitment to healthy living by encouraging physical activity and promoting the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle.
