Imagine checking your phone and finding out you just won a literal ton of gasoline. For one driver in Changsha, Hunan province, that dream became a reality.
Recently, a woman surnamed Wu took part in the 11th “Civilized Traffic I Take Action” 100-Day Challenge. The premise? Drive for 100 days straight with absolutely zero traffic violations. Sounds easy enough, right? For Wu, who admittedly took a few tries to pass her driving test but has maintained a nearly spotless record over her seven years of driving, it was a challenge worth accepting.
On October 22, the results were in. Out of the pool of safe drivers, Wu hit the jackpot. She initially thought the phone call notifying her of the prize was a scam! However, her doubts vanished when organizers personally delivered a gas card loaded with the equivalent of one ton of fuel right to her doorstep.

This quirky and highly coveted prize is part of an initiative that started in 2015 to promote road safety and civilized driving among citizens. In past years, rewards have included car insurance and even international trips. In an era where traffic rules can sometimes feel like mere suggestions, this fun, high-stakes incentive proves that good habits can quite literally fuel your next adventure.
