Silver Strikers Ladies have been charged by the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) following an alleged incident involving match officials after their NBM Women’s Premiership encounter against Civil Service Women.

The charges relate to events said to have occurred at Silver Stadium after the match on 17 October 2026.
According to a charge sheet issued by FAM’s Competitions Committee on 21 October, a supporter dressed in Silver Strikers colours allegedly threw a bottle of water towards match officials as they headed into the tunnel leading to the dressing rooms.
FAM says the alleged incident exposed match officials to the risk of physical harm and has moved to hold the club accountable under the competition’s disciplinary regulations.
Silver Strikers Ladies face two separate charges.
The first relates to alleged supporter misconduct, specifically the throwing of an object at match officials.
The charge is brought under Article 29.1, read together with Articles 29.1.1 and 29.9.1 of the NBM Women’s Premiership Rules and Regulations.
The second charge concerns the club’s alleged failure to maintain order and security at the venue following the match, contrary to Article 29.6 of the competition’s regulations.
The case places the Central Bankers under scrutiny over their responsibility for supporter behaviour and the protection of match officials before, during and after fixtures.
FAM has given Silver Strikers Ladies 48 hours from receipt of the charge sheet to submit a written response.
Should the club be found guilty, it could face disciplinary sanctions under the competition’s rules.
