JOHOR BARU: A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of endangering other road users by driving dangerously on Jalan Bakawali, Taman Johor Jaya.
Seri Alam deputy police chief Superintendent Victor Genason said the man was detained at 9.35am at the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division of the Seri Alam district police headquarters.
He said the arrest followed the circulation of a 34-second video on Facebook.
"The video shows a car overtaking other vehicles dangerously on the road and has garnered about 43,000 views," he said in a statement today.
Victor said police also seized a Proton e.MAS believed to have been used by the man during the incident.
He added that an initial urine screening test found the suspect negative for drugs.
The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.
Police advised the public to obey traffic laws and drive responsibly to ensure everyone's safety.
