Humans fight back. The fight for better automation outcomes continues.
The Albanese government has announced a formal review of the heavily criticised automated decision-making tool known as the Independent Assessment Tool (IAT). The review, which assesses aged care funding support needs, will be conducted less than a year after the loathed algorithm’s go-live.
As complaints over the automation continue to mount, Minister for Aged Care and Seniors Sam Rae said that the “review will build on that work and respond to feedback that while these changes have made improvements, the assessment systems are not always getting it right.”
