Bitcoin Price Prediction: Bitcoin Tracks Treasury Real Rates, Fidelity Finds

Bitcoin is trading at $82,000, rebounding from $80,000 since yesterday morning, as traders weigh a new macro signal that could flip its price prediction. According to Fidelity, Bitcoin’s correlation with 10-year Treasury real rates has climbed to a new record.

The link matters because rising real yields have often pressured risk assets; this time, the relationship has flipped. Fidelity also ties the shift to the US debt burden, now above $40 trillion.

Bitcoin fell below $80,000 after hotter-than-expected inflation lifted Treasury yields and hit technology stocks, then recovered toward $82,000. Liquidations neared $944 million in 24 hours, with long positions accounting for most forced exits.

Fidelity’s research found Bitcoin’s market-cap correlation with the 10-year real rate above 0.6, while Bitcoin rose nearly 30% and Treasury rates gained more than 10% over the two months.

The near-term chart remains unsettled: bids around $80,000 helped absorb the inflation shock, but yields and equity weakness still threaten risk appetite. The real-rate finding gives traders a macro framework, but can Bitcoin hold its rebound if yields keep climbing?

Bitcoin Price Prediction: Can BTC Hold Above $82,500 This Week?

At $82,000, Bitcoin is hovering at the $82,000–$82,500 resistance band after trading as low as $79,950 yesterday. The latest 24-hour change is a 1.5% rebound.

Support sits near $80,000, where Binance spot bids were filled, with the 50-day moving average around $80,300 as the more consequential trend test. Bitcoin has also lost the $81,250 monthly midpoint. A sustained move above $82,500 would improve the short-term structure; a daily close below $80,300 would warn that the broader uptrend is weakening.

For related macro context, inflation data and rate-cut expectations explain why higher real yields can raise the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding assets.

If support holds, ETF inflows persist, BTC could reclaim $84,000. There will likely be a volatile consolidation between $80,000 and $82,500 while traders assess inflation and Treasury yields. However, a daily break below $80,300 exposes the rebound to further pressure.

The October 16 expiry of about $1.46 billion in Bitcoin options could add short-term volatility. The setup is not a confirmed breakout. Bitcoin recovery scenarios offer another view of the levels and catalysts in play.

The sell-off has made the risk plain: Bitcoin can still react sharply when inflation pushes yields higher, even with buyers defending $80,000. If BTC remains capped below resistance, some traders may look beyond the near-term chart.

Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) is a Bitcoin Layer 2 project integrating the Solana Virtual Machine for smart contracts and high-speed, low-cost transaction execution. It’s here to address Bitcoin’s transaction speed, fee, and programmability constraints while retaining a connection to Bitcoin’s security.

The project’s current price is $0.0136875, and the total raised is $33.2 million. Staking is also offered with a high 30% APY, only for those who join the presale funding window, which will be closing in less than 40 days.

Research Bitcoin Hyper and review the available terms before the presale ends soon.
