LAHORE – The Punjab government has formally introduced the Arzi Muawin system across the province from Monday, bringing an end to the previous deed-writing arrangement.
Under the new system, only registered Arzi Muawins will be authorised to prepare property deeds and other relevant documents.
Former deed writers seeking to work under the new framework can register online through the designated website.
Different monthly subscription packages have also been introduced to facilitate registration.
According to the new requirements, individuals who are not registered as Arzi Muawins after October 12 will no longer be eligible to prepare property documents.
The system also makes modern biometric machines mandatory for newly registered deed writers to carry out their work.
Meanwhile, Lahore, the provincial capital, currently has only 138 registered Arzi Muawins.
The implementation of the new framework marks a shift in Punjab’s property documentation process, with registration and biometric equipment becoming key requirements for those authorised to prepare legal documents.
