The Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police said the single-vehicle crash was reported at about 5 a.m. on Oct. 23.
Preliminary investigation, a news release said, found that the vehicle had been southbound on Round Lake Road between B Line and Schwan roads when it left the roadway.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.

The OPP also said the investigation was continuing in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
Following the crash, a section of Round Lake Road was closed for approximately eight hours, but it reopened Friday afternoon.

Township of the Laurentian Valley is about 150 kilometres northwest of Ottawa.
