Small businesses affected by the earthquake in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, Mandalay Region and Sagaing Region can apply for financial assistance from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) by 19 October.
The funding programme aims to help small businesses damaged by the 2025 earthquake in Mandalay Region, Sagaing Region and Nay Pyi Taw Council Area resume operations and recover their growth.
Applicants must have been operating for at least two years. Priority will be given to businesses led by women, young people and persons with disabilities.
As the UNDP funding programme can support only a limited number of small businesses, only applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and are selected will be contacted with further details. The entire process, from application to selection, is free of charge, and no payment is required. Any requests for money related to the programme can be reported to UNDP Myanmar. — ASH/KZL
