The Spark Liquidity Layer now has more than $3 billion in assets deployed across a range of platforms. Every one of those dollars moves within rate limits set by governance and enforced by smart contracts.
That figure, as of October 16, 2026, makes the SLL the largest on-chain capital allocator tracked by DefiLlama. For a system that launched less than two years ago, it is a quick climb.
Where the money goes
The SLL is an automated, non-custodial capital allocator inside the Sky ecosystem. Governance sets rate limits, and smart contracts enforce them. No single actor can suddenly shove billions into a risky venue, because the code caps how quickly capital can flow.
The current deployment spans several destinations. These include SparkLend, Morpho vaults, Uniswap pools, and tri-party loans with Anchorage.
SparkLend is the biggest single recipient. It holds roughly 42% of the SLL’s recent asset allocation.
The research also points to integrations with Aave and Curve. On the infrastructure side, the SLL runs across multiple networks, including Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, and Optimism, among others.
The numbers behind the milestone
Total value locked sits near $2.8 billion. Allocations themselves have been fluid, swinging between $2.5 billion and above $3.6 billion as the system shifts capital around.
The quarterly comparison shows how much the operation has scaled. Average asset allocation reached approximately $4.2 billion in Q2 2026, up from $1.93 billion in Q1 2026. The research attributes the jump to strategic shifts toward venues with higher demand.
The current figure of just over $3 billion sits below that Q2 average.
The SLL generated roughly $12 million in fees over a recent 30-day period.
On market share, DefiLlama data puts the SLL at approximately 25% of the on-chain capital allocator category.
A short history with no reported incidents
The SLL launched in November 2024. Since then, it has operated without reported issues, according to the research findings.
The Anchorage tri-party loans stand out in that mix. They show the allocator reaching beyond purely on-chain venues into structured lending that involves a regulated custodian.
What this means
When an allocator this large shifts capital from one venue to another, borrowing rates and pool depth on the receiving end can feel it. Changes to rate limits or allocation targets effectively steer billions in liquidity, so a single vote can ripple through SparkLend, Morpho, Uniswap and the other venues involved.
Roughly 42% of recent allocations in SparkLend gives Spark a deep, reliable base for its lending market, but it also ties a large share of the SLL’s fortunes to that single protocol’s performance.
About $12 million over 30 days suggests the allocator is earning real revenue from its deployments rather than simply parking capital. The research frames the SLL’s growth as a sign of rising confidence in automated yield strategies, and of growing comfort among institutional players with decentralized platforms. The Anchorage loans are the clearest concrete example of that bridge.
