Colombo, Oct. 16 (Daily Mirror) - The Meteorology Department has forecast misty conditions in some areas of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces during the early hours of tomorrow morning.
The Department said showers or thundershowers are expected in most parts of the island after 1.00 p.m., with fairly heavy rainfall of around 75 mm likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North Central provinces and in the Trincomalee district.
A few showers may occur in coastal areas of the Mannar and Jaffna districts during the morning, it added.
The public has been advised to take adequate precautions to minimise possible damage from temporary, localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
