Two teachers have been shot during student protests that erupted in France on Monday morning.
The National Education system confirmed that a total of at least eight staff members were left injured, but highlighted that this figure did not include the principal of a middle school and the teacher injured by a shotgun blast in Aubagne.
"The violence is intensifying," the ministry added in a statement, confirming it was "particularly concentrated in the Créteil academy, as well as in Bordeaux and Lyon."
