Later in the day, Jake admitted it had been one of the 'longest and hardest days of his life', as Charlotte returned home from hospital after her surgery.
He said: 'Possibly one of the longest and hardest days I've had in a long time. In fact, this whole week has been incredibly difficult, both physically and emotionally.
'It's been a really challenging week, and if I'm being honest, I feel like I've fallen short in almost every area of my life.
'I haven't been the happiest person to be around. I feel like I haven't given Alba the birthday she truly deserved.
'I've struggled to give my best at work, I haven't been there for the lads like I normally would, and most importantly, I haven't been the best version of myself for Charlotte when she's needed me the most.
'Sometimes life really does the better of you, no matter how strong you try to be. And this week, with everything that's happened, I feel like it's well and truly beaten me.
'We've only just got back from the hospital, and I can honestly say I'm physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted.
'I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has taken the time to message us, check in, share their own experiences and send their love and support. It genuinely means more than you'll ever know.
On Friday, the Geordie Shore star shared the heartbreaking news she'd suffered a silent miscarriage, her second in five months
Later in the day, Jake admitted it had been one of the 'longest and hardest days of his life,' as Charlotte returned home from hospital after her surgery
'I'm doing my best to reply to everyone and will get back to you all as soon as I can. Some weeks are about achieving everything you set out to do. Others are simply about getting through them.
'And this week has definitely been about getting through it.'
On Friday, Charlotte first shared the heartbreaking news of her silent miscarriage. She discovered she was pregnant last month but learned at her eight week scan, she had miscarried.
Charlotte has been incredibly open about her and fiancé Jake Ankers, who share daughters Alba, three, and Pixi, 20 months, wanting to add to their brood.
In a devastating Instagram post on Friday, Charlotte explained the moment their 'world came crashing down'.
Charlotte said: 'Last month, we got the news we'd been hoping for. We found out we were pregnant.
'It's no secret that we've been trying to grow our family, so you can imagine the overwhelming happiness we felt when we saw the positive test.
'There are no words to describe how happy we were. Being a mother is, without a doubt, the greatest gift life has ever given me.

'Nothing brings me more happiness than being a mam, and so the thought of growing our family filled Jake and I with so much happiness and excitement.
'Especially after experiencing a silent miscarriage earlier this year, this pregnancy came with a lot of mixed emotions and nerves. It was a combination of happiness and fear at the same time.'
She added: 'The nerves were still there deep down, as they are with every pregnancy... and to be honest those nerves never go!
'Even when your baby is in your arms! But we kept ourselves busy between the 6 and 8 week scans, filling our days with lots of fun adventures with the girls.
'Jake was our rock, as always. He held the fort, looked after us all, and filled the house with laughter and fun.'
Recalling the moment she found out she had miscarried, Charlotte said: 'It felt like someone had ripped our hearts out of our chests.
'We lost another baby, another silent miscarriage.'
A silent miscarriage is when the individual doesn't have any symptoms of pregnancy loss, like heavy cramping and bleeding.
Charlotte ended her post: 'I'm not sure where we can go from here and the future feels a little uncertain.
'We would absolutely love to grow our family, however the fear of feeling this heartbreak again is terrifying.
'I wanted to share this because this is my life, and this is our story. Sometimes sharing the hardest parts helps me carry them a little more easily.
'And if you're going through something similar, you're not alone.'

Back in May, Charlotte had an agonising two-week wait to have her first miscarriage confirmed and after having the D&C (dilation and curettage) procedure, had an infection that left her in excruciating pain.
While the D&C operation was at first straightforward, Charlotte developed an infection five days later.
The television personality started experiencing agonising pain on the train to London and went straight to St John & Elizabeth Hospital's A&E.
Charlotte managed to get antibiotics to treat the infection which was caused by a lot of blood collecting in her tilted cervix.
Charlotte previously suffered an ectopic pregnancy back in 2016 and nearly died, while dating her Geordie Shore co-star Gary Beadle. She had to have her right fallopian tube and ovary removed.
An ectopic pregnancy is when a fertilised egg implants itself outside of the womb, usually in the fallopian tube, meaning a baby is unable to develop and leaving the mother's health in danger.
Charlotte said the difference with the ectopic pregnancy was the fear she may never be able to have a baby as she 'woke up and my organs had been removed'.
