Three Betr Picks for Friday
Player | Projection | Our pick |
Nate Sheppard, DUKE | 172.5 rushing + receiving yards | Higher |
Beau Pribula, VIR | 178.5 passing yards | Lower |
CJ Bailey, NCST | 234.5 passing yards | Higher |
The slate of college football games kicking off this Friday night is rich, starting with Virginia hosting Duke at 7:00 PM ET. The night will close with another ACC battle as Stanford hosts NC State at 10:30 PM ET. Elsewhere on Friday night: UConn hosts UMass (7:00 PM ET), Tulsa hosts Army (8:30 PM ET), and Wyoming hosts Air Force (9:00 PM ET).
Nate Sheppard has racked up 820 yards rushing and 259 receiving – leading his team in both categories – through six games. He posted 190 total yards against Georgia Tech two weeks ago, and finished with 175 against North Carolina last week.
Pribula hasn't been productive for the Cavaliers in recent games. Against Florida State, Syracuse, and SMU, he threw two touchdowns while never topping 170 yards or completing more than 60% of his passes.
Bailey, conversely, has aired it out for the Wolfpack. In his last five games, he's completed no fewer than 60% of his passes for no fewer than 241 yards. He'll travel to play a Stanford team that has allowed 255.4 passing yards per game and been manhandled by most of its ACC opponents.
