A recent episode of Uthando Nesthembu has got fans talking after Vuyokazi's behaviour during a video call with MaYeni and the grandchildren rubbed viewers up the wrong way. While many fans have a soft spot for Vuyo, her conduct in that moment struck a nerve with a large portion of the audience.
The scene in question showed Vuyokazi reacting in a way that viewers felt was unbecoming, particularly given that MaYeni is an elder in the family. For many watching, the way the interaction played out felt unnecessarily cold and disrespectful, regardless of the complicated history between the parties involved.
A messy breakup in the background
Viewers are not dismissing the difficult circumstances Vuyokazi finds herself in. The breakup with Mpumelelo is widely acknowledged to have been painful and messy, and some fans understand that navigating a shared family space under those conditions is far from simple. Still, the consensus seems to be that MaYeni, as an adult and elder, deserved more consideration in how the moment was handled.
The episode has reignited broader conversations about how the women in the family handle conflict and what boundaries look like in a polygamous household playing out on national television.

@anuppitypatriot kept it blunt, suggesting Vuyokazi could have simply removed herself from the situation rather than making things awkward:
