The Mooresville Spinners will play in the town’s multimillion-dollar renovated baseball stadium now that the league has settled a lease dispute with the town.
In July, the team told The Charlotte Observer the town wouldn’t let the league play there. The town said the team didn’t share a proposal like other leagues.
However, in a joint statement, the two said they reached a mutual resolution regarding the park’s lease.
“We are grateful to the Spinners fans and to this community for more than a decade of support, and we appreciate the support the Town of Mooresville extended to the Spinners over the years,” the team’s principal owner, John Wilcox, said in a release. “We are proud of the Spinners’ history at Moor Park, and we give credit to the Town for making that possible with its contributions.”
The Town of Mooresville started on the stadium’s large-scale renovation in early 2025. It is set to open next year.
