If you are eyeing the iPhone Duo as your next, or even first, foldable, you might also be looking into Apple's official accessories like the $79 silicone case or the $129 folio one. Well, there's something you need to know about the cheaper case, as it comes with a caveat.

According to users who already got their hands on one of the early iPhone Duo units and have already bought the cheaper silicone case, they report that it requires the adhesive on the inside to be exposed before installing.
Reportedly, the case won't stay on the phone if you don't use the adhesive and will fall off easily. This is the first time we've heard about adhesive being used to keep a case in place. Strange that Apple didn't go with magnets instead.
Surely, this isn't a big deal for many, but others who like to change cases for different occasions or just prefer to go caseless from time to time will be forced to stick with the silicone case. No pun intended.
Alternatively, you can snatch the more expensive folio case or go for a third-party one that doesn't require adhesive. At least you have options.
