It’s only been about a week since fashion month came to a close with the final shows in Paris, but the stars have wasted no time in borrowing from the recent runways. Last Tuesday, Rosalía stepped out in a romantic, blush-colored gown with feather adornments that was unveiled by Erdem during London Fashion Week in September. Meanwhile, Céline Dion continued her parade of winning Paris street style with a brand-new set from Prada. But that’s not all. Other stars like Dua Lipa, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Hunter Schafer have all already stepped out in ensembles pulled straight off the runway, and the latest to join their ranks is Carey Mulligan.
At the 70th BFI London Film Festival on Sunday evening, the Oscar nominee hit the red carpet in a lustrous silver look from the Celine Spring/Summer 2027 ready-to-wear collection by Michael Rider.

Carey Mulligan hits the red carpet on October 11.
The Beef star looked like she had been wrapped in a sheet of aluminum, thanks to the reflective, silver material of the dress, which molded rigidly around her body like armor, in accordion-like pleating.
Up top, the dress featured a boat neckline and a small pocket on one side of the chest, while at the bottom, the foil-like material swirled around the actor’s body in a roll to form layers of fabric. One piece stopped midway down and dangled at Mulligan’s side with an orb pendant hanging from it. Meanwhile, the base flared at the very bottom to create a soft mermaid silhouette.
She accessorized with inky contrasting pieces, also from Celine, including a pair of oval Triomphe sunglasses and a Cube top-handle bag. The final touch came courtesy of a pair of diamond hoop earrings from Jessica McCormack.

Mulligan wore a fresh-off-the-runway look from Celine.
Metallics have been having quite a moment this past week, what with Alexander Skarsgård’s gold Saint Laurent suit, which he wore to the same festival just last Thursday, and Tate McRae’s strappy silver minidress that she wore to launch party for her new fragrance, Tate 01.
When you’re looking to brighten up some of these dreary fall days, why not consider a shimmering finish?
