Following the Galaxy Z Fold8, the Apple iPhone Duo and the Huawei Pura X Max, Motorola is also reportedly planning to launch a particularly wide foldable phone. A benchmark leak now suggests that while the Razr Flex 27 offers a speedy processor, it is likely to be cheaper than most competitors.

With the Razr Fold ($2,585 on Amazon), Motorola already offers an alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, but the company is now reportedly also planning a competitor to the more compact Galaxy Z Fold8 or the Apple iPhone Duo with the Razr Flex 27. After rumors revealed many details about this new Motorola Razr Flex 27 back in September, the smartphone has now been spotted on Geekbench.
The benchmark leak is interesting, as the smartphone apparently uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, rather than the more expensive Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. Combined with "only" 12 GB of RAM, this is a clear indication that the foldable will be priced lower than most competitors. This aligns with earlier rumors, according to which Motorola is including two 32-megapixel selfie cameras, a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, but omitting a telephoto camera.
At 5.8 millimeters thick, the smartphone is said to be thicker than the iPhone Duo, but also significantly lighter at 215 grams, despite its larger 5,000 mAh battery. Motorola is reportedly using a 4.97-inch secondary display with a resolution of 1,736 x 1,140 pixel, giving the screen a 3:2 aspect ratio. According to rumors, the 6.92-inch main display has a resolution of 2,364 x 1,728 pixels and an impressive refresh rate of 165 Hz. The chassis is said to be IP49-certified and therefore waterproof. The Motorola Razr Flex 27 is expected to launch in December.
