Kohima, Oct 13: Rovisenuo Hibo was crowned Miss Kohima 2026 at the pageant’s grand finale, held under the theme “Beyond the Crown”, while Sunepjungla Kichu and Thejazenuo Angami were named first and second runners-up, respectively.
The event celebrated young women’s talent, confidence and leadership, with a focus on using their platforms to make a difference in society.
Major General Harinder Singh Mavi, Inspector General, Assam Rifles (North), attended the grand finale as the special guest.
In the subtitle categories, Kichu won Miss Perfect 10, while Hibo was named Miss Multimedia. Angami received the Queen of Hearts title, Lumvila T Sangtam won Best Advocacy, and Vinika P Kiba was awarded Miss Talent.
The theme “Beyond the Crown” emphasised that a beauty pageant is about more than physical appearance or recognition, highlighting the importance of character, purpose, individuality and social responsibility.
The event also highlighted the role of such platforms in encouraging young women to express their aspirations, build confidence and emerge as leaders in their communities.
