The Serbian Foreign Ministry accused Croatia of of interfering in Serbia’s internal political affairs and the election campaign, the state TV (RTS) reported on Wednesday evening.

The Foreign Ministry’s protest note described attempts to exert outside influence on the electoral process as unacceptable and criticized what it called the way some Croatian media outlets have been reporting on the political situation in Serbia.
It also expressed concern over what it said was the one-sided presentation of political developments in Serbia and their links to regional stability.
The ministry said that does not contribute to mutual trust or good-neighbor relations between the two countries.
The diplomatic protest comes ahead of Serbia’s October 25 elections, amid heightened political tensions and scrutiny of the electoral process.
