The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has postponed the Ligue 1 match between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Olympique Lyonnais from Sunday, October 25, to Monday, October 26, following an order from the Paris Police Prefecture prohibiting the fixture.
In a statement shared on X, PSG said the league had acknowledged the police order and confirmed the new date and kick-off time for the encounter at the Parc des Princes.
“The Professional Football League has taken note of the order from the Paris Police Prefecture prohibiting the organization of the Paris Saint-Germain – Olympique Lyonnais match,” the club stated.
The statement added: “Accordingly, we inform you that the match between the two clubs, originally scheduled for this Sunday, October 25, has been postponed to Monday, October 26, at 8:30 p.m. at the Parc des Princes.”
The fixture will now take place on Monday at 8:30 p.m. local time.

The postponement comes amid unrest in France, where protests over the rising cost of living and poor conditions in schools escalated into widespread violence, looting and clashes with police during demonstrations on October 17.
French authorities are preparing to deploy about 70,000 security personnel nationwide for fresh demonstrations this weekend, amid fears of further violence and looting. The security operation has placed additional demands on police resources in Paris, prompting authorities to prohibit the PSG-Lyon fixture from taking place on Sunday.
