The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has released the examination fee payment schedule for the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) March 2027 session. The schedule applies to first-year and second-year regular students, candidates who have failed previous examinations and private candidates from Arts and Humanities streams seeking exemption from attendance requirements. The regular fee payment window will be open from October 26 to November 9, 2026. Students who miss the initial deadline will have additional opportunities to pay the examination fee by paying the applicable late charges. The board has also provided two further payment periods, allowing candidates to complete the process with higher late fees in December.
According to the fee schedule announced by TGBIE, candidates who fail to pay within the regular period can submit their examination fees with a late charge of ₹100 from November 11 to November 20, 2026. The next window, which carries a late fee of ₹500, will remain open from November 22 to November 29. Students who miss these deadlines can pay the fee with a penalty of ₹1,000 between December 1 and December 7. The final opportunity to pay the examination fee will be available from December 9 to December 14, during which candidates will have to pay a late fee of ₹2,000.
The examination fee for first-year students enrolled in general courses has been fixed at ₹540. First-year vocational students will be required to pay ₹890, comprising ₹540 towards the theory examination, ₹250 for practical examinations and ₹100 for English practicals. The fee structure for second-year candidates differs according to their stream. Students appearing for second-year general Arts examinations will have to pay ₹540, whereas Science students will be required to pay ₹890, which includes the applicable theory, practical and English practical examination charges. Second-year vocational candidates will also have to pay ₹890. Students should verify the fee applicable to their course and examination category before making the payment to ensure that the prescribed amount is deposited.
In addition to announcing the examination fee schedule, TGBIE has invited applications from private candidates seeking exemption from attendance requirements for the IPE March 2027 examinations. Eligible applicants can submit their applications through the board's official website, tgbie.cgg.gov.in, until October 31, 2026. Candidates applying under this category must pay an attendance exemption application fee of ₹500. They are also required to provide supporting documents, including their Class 10 pass certificate and Transfer Certificate (TC), along with other documents applicable to their individual circumstances. These may include migration certificates and eligibility certificates. Applicants should ensure that all required documents are submitted correctly and that their applications reach the board within the prescribed deadline.
The eligibility conditions for private candidates seeking attendance exemption depend on the length of the gap following their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination. Students who have completed their SSC examination and have a gap of one year are eligible to appear for the first-year Intermediate Public Examination in March 2027. Candidates with a gap of two years or more after passing SSC can apply to appear for both first-year and second-year examinations during the March 2027 session. The board has also extended the attendance exemption facility to certain candidates who have failed their second-year examinations and wish to change their academic group. Students seeking to move from Science to Arts or Humanities, as well as those intending to change their group within the Arts and Humanities streams, may apply within the stipulated deadline, subject to the applicable eligibility requirements. Such candidates should review the board's instructions and ensure that their applications are submitted before October 31, 2026.
